Prism Pop

Privacy Policy

The game keeps your progress on your phone and sends it nowhere. Here is the whole picture.

Prism Pop has no accounts, no analytics and no tracking.

Your progress and settings stay on your iPhone and are never sent anywhere. The one exception is the optional reward video: if you choose to watch one, Google serves it, and only then. Those ads are non-personalised, so your advertising identifier is never used and iOS never has to ask whether you want to be tracked.

I am Steven Zaborski, the independent developer of Prism Pop. This policy explains what the app does with information, which is very little, and it is written to be read rather than to be survived.

Information the app collects

None. Prism Pop asks for no name, no email address, no phone number and no location. It has no sign-in and no user accounts. It does not read your contacts, photos, calendar, microphone or camera, and it does not ask for permission to, because it never needs them. I receive nothing about you and operate no server that could receive it.

Google's advertising service does receive some technical information when you choose to watch a reward video, described under Advertising below.

What the game saves on your device

The app stores the following locally, in its own private storage area that no other app can read. None of it is transmitted anywhere.

WhatWhy
Progress Which levels you have cleared, the stars and high score on each, and your current level, so the map is where you left it.
Balances Gold, lives, boosters and the timestamps that regenerate lives over time.
Purchases Which items you have bought, so they stay unlocked. A record of the item, never of any payment detail.
Settings Your music and sound-effect preferences.
Tutorial flags Which one-time explanations you have already seen, so the game does not repeat them. Stored using UserDefaults, declared in the app's privacy manifest under reason code CA92.1, app functionality.
Audio cache Generated background audio, cached so it does not have to be rebuilt each launch. Contains nothing about you.

Deleting Prism Pop from your iPhone deletes all of it, permanently and immediately. There is no copy anywhere else, because there is nowhere else.

Network activity

Prism Pop contains no networking code of its own. It does not run a server, call an API, or open a connection to any service I operate — I operate none. The game is fully playable in aeroplane mode.

The one exception is Apple's own machinery. When you make or restore a purchase, Apple's StoreKit talks to the App Store to process it. That exchange is between you and Apple under Apple's privacy policy, not with me.

Purchases

In-app purchases are handled entirely by Apple. Your payment method, billing address and Apple Account details go to Apple and are never shared with me. I receive only Apple's periodic sales reports, which are aggregate figures — how many of an item sold in a region — and identify no individual.

Advertising

Prism Pop shows one kind of ad, and only on request: a reward video you can choose to watch, from the out-of-lives screen, in exchange for a life and some gold. There are no banners and no interstitials — nothing plays between levels or without you asking for it. Declining costs you nothing but the wait, and every level in the game is completable without ever watching one.

These ads are served by Google AdMob. When you start a reward video, Google receives the technical information it needs to deliver and measure that ad:

The ads are non-personalised. The app tells Google, on every single request, not to use personal data to select what you see. Your advertising identifier (IDFA) is never read or shared, no profile of your interests is built or used, and nothing about how you play the game is sent to Google. This is also why iOS never shows you an "Ask App Not to Track" prompt: the app does not track you, so there is nothing to ask permission for.

Google may still use the technical information above for fraud prevention, frequency capping and aggregate reporting. Google's handling of it is governed by the Google Privacy & Terms and AdMob's own policies.

Analytics

None. Prism Pop contains no analytics SDK. Nothing about how you play — which levels you reach, where you fail, what you buy — is measured, recorded or sent anywhere. If that ever changes, this page will be updated to say exactly what is collected before the version making the change is released.

Children

Prism Pop collects no data from anyone, children included, and the reward videos it can show are non-personalised, so no profile is built of any player at any age. The app contains in-app purchases and optional advertising; parents can disable purchases in Settings → Screen Time → Content & Privacy Restrictions on the device, and a child who simply never taps the reward-video button never sees an ad.

Your rights

Privacy laws such as the GDPR and the CCPA give you rights to access, correct, export or delete the personal data a company holds about you. I hold none, so there is nothing to access or delete on my side and no request is necessary. The data on your device is yours already, and removing the app removes it.

For the information Google receives when you watch a reward video, those rights are exercised with Google through their privacy policy. Since the ads are non-personalised and carry no advertising identifier, there is no profile tied to you to request or erase.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it, and any change that affects what the app collects will be described here before the version making that change is released.
